Assemble and pack wood crates to ship orders of metal overhead steel doors and door components.
Responsibilities
Verify dimensions needed for shipping crates using shipping report.
Set up, operate, and adjust a variety of woodworking machines such as skill saws and radical arm saws to cut and shape wood sections according to specifications.
Fit, fasten, and assemble wood parts together to form crate using air-powered nail gun.
Pack crate with metal parts for steel doors listed to be shipped to customer from shipping report.
Pack crate with insulation to ensure steel parts do not move inside crate during shipping.
Fasten address/shipping label to crate.
Use air powered hand tools such as drills and screw guns.
Keep work area clean and neat.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One to two years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
Basic reading, writing and math, including reading a tape measure, skills required.
Forklift experience preferred.
Experience operating radial arm saws.

Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
Regularly required to walk, stand, and bend.
