Overview

As a Tier 3 Senior Support Engineer, you will work directly with both the development and support teams to resolve complex issues encountered by customers. You will specialize in supporting IoT devices through cloud technologies in a multi-tier, highly parallel infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure customer satisfaction by focusing on the resolution of high-priority, critical issues. You will provide expert troubleshooting, resolution, and support for production systems, enabling the seamless operation of Nokē products.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting & Technical Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical resolution for software, application, and infrastructure-related issues impacting production environments.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve the most complex problems encountered by customers, particularly during onboarding and live production.
  • Database & Application Code Development: Develop and maintain database scripts, application code (in Java), and utilities to resolve high-priority customer issues.
  • Database Issue Diagnosis: Analyze and troubleshoot database-related problems, including performance degradation, configuration issues, and data integrity concerns.
  • Root Cause Analysis & Fixes: Conduct root cause analysis for critical issues and identify and implement fixes in collaboration with other team members.
  • Integration Support: Work with integration partners to resolve handshake and communication issues between systems, ensuring smooth integration.
  • Support Onboarding & Initial Setup: Assist integration partners with proper setup procedures during onboarding and ensure that the process runs smoothly.
  • Hardware Issue Analysis: Assist with hardware-related issue diagnosis for escalations from Tier 2 support teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with programming languages such as PHP, C++, C#, Java, or Python.
  • 2+ years of experience working with SQL-based databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • 2+ years of experience with web technologies (HTTP requests, JSON, RESTful APIs).
  • 2+ years of experience in Tier 3 support or a similar advanced technical support role.
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to fix complex application and system issues.
  • Expertise in resolving complex problems within cloud-based, multi-tiered environments.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • BS in computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
