Overview

Interface with Management, Sales, and Estimating during the contract review and approval process. Responsible for the review, negotiation, and the finalization of all contracts in accordance with company operating procedures. Must be able to identify contract risk and draft complex contractual documentation in accordance with corporate policy.

Responsibilities

  • Review complex contract documents for legal risk and pursuant to established corporate policy.
  • Draft and amend contract documents in multiple formats.
  • Assist with negotiations of contracts.
  • Manage the contract review process.
  • Set up incoming contract files and create file folders & billing spreadsheet on network (Blue Sheet).
  • Request project information: CIS, door waiver, etc.
  • Cancel projects and complete spreadsheet for costing, and send each project to Credit/Payment Terms
  • Manage and process contract change orders, including reviewing modification requests, coordinating approvals, and ensuring proper documentation of all contracts change orders and revisions.
  • Handle all aspects of Certificate of Insurance (COI) management, including requesting, reviewing, and maintaining current certificates for customers and contractors to ensure compliance with contractual insurance requirements.
  • Track and maintain comprehensive records of all ancillary contract documents, including amendments, addendums, supporting documentation, and correspondence to ensure complete and accurate contract files.
  • Create warranty documents with O&M Manuals.
  • Departmental Reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/ or 3-5 years’ experience required. Paralegal experience preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of contracting concepts and approaches.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel & Outlook required.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in fast pace environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance and meet deadlines that require quick turnaround.
