Overview

The Sourcing Buyer will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and sourcing suppliers to meet the company's purchasing needs and will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing terms and conditions to achieve cost savings while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Work closely with Purchasing agents ensuring accuracy of purchase order prices and on time delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and resolve issues.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, new products, and potential suppliers.
  • Work closely with inventory and demand planning teams to ensure the right quantity of materials is sourced and delivered on time and collaborate with internal teams to optimize inventory levels.
  • Ensure all sourcing activities comply with legal, ethical, and company standards.
  • Track and report on key procurement metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement timelines.
  • Address and resolve any supply chain or vendor-related issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing and/or supply chain in manufacturing industries.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and knowledge of ERP system.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
