Overview

Responsible for monitoring and maintaining acceptable levels of inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor work orders from initiation to completion.
  • Accurately manage work orders including status updates, work order follow-up and preparation for invoicing.
  • Prepare work orders and process work order revisions.
  • Investigate, coordinate and resolve work order issues working directly with Customer Service, Production and DC’s.
  • Prepare and review open work order reports.
  • Work closely with production to track doors daily/weekly to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Material.
  • Set up new Bill of Material options.
  • Monitor inventory items for negatives.
  • Work closely with production to ensure accurate inventory and cycle counts.
  • Work with DC’s regarding replenishment orders, intransient warehouse, etc.
  • Participate in monthly/quarterly physical inventory and cycle counts.
  • Process inventory transfers from corporate to DC’s.
  • Reconcile weekly inventory reports and ensure all negative balances are corrected.
  • Review and prepare list of special orders for labels at physical inventory.
  • Review rolling steel door spec sheets for accuracy.
  • Head up research for variances during physical inventories and cycle counts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to two years previous work-related experience.
  • Must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, and bend.
  • Computer skills required; Microsoft Office (including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), production systems, etc.
