Overview

As the Firmware Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, recording, and thoroughly documenting and tracking Firmware failures and tests for our quickly growing Nokē Smart Entry suite of products.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test plans to ensure the high quality of our products and firmware.
  • Ensure that the automated and manual tests have appropriate coverage and traceability to requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide valuable insights to ensure that requirements are testable.
  • Support testing activities across the entire product development lifecycle, including integration, system performance, regression, and end-to-end testing as needed.
  • Assist in the design and building of test fixtures that allow for in house testing.
  • Oversee long term tests, monitor, and identify early failures from the field.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track firmware failures.
  • Replicate quality-related issues to ensure ease of identification of the root cause(s) and implementation of solutions quickly.
  • Persistently refine testing techniques, protocols, and methodologies to bolster product and firmware release stability.
  • Design regression suites and automate executions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a technical field in Quality Assurance Engineering or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Firmware Development or Firmware Quality Assurance role.
  • Experience conducting manual testing of device, web, mobile applications, APIs, integrations, data, and reports.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Enjoys working in a team with capability of working independently with little or no direction.
