Overview

Ensure benefits offerings and resources are accessible to all and supports benefits administration across multiple divisions and locations.  Maintains records/data of benefits including, but not limited to, compliance through reporting, monitoring, etc. through various transactions and processes which includes monthly auditing and invoice reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily benefits processing. Process enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, FMLA, rollovers etc. 
  • Administer and maintain all new hire benefits orientations and enrollments.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records.
  • Approve invoices for payment, communicate benefit information to employees, etc.
  • Administer employee insurance programs including life, disability, and health insurance plans.
  • Administer employee savings plans including the company’s 401(k) plan and deferred compensation programs.
  • Advises and informs employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.
  • Facilitates accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers.
  • Completes records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.  Bachelor’s degree in HR preferred.
  • 3+ years of related work experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external customers at all levels, verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA requirements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Extensive use of ADP WorkForceNow preferred.
