Overview

The Senior Sales Analyst will develop advanced tools and resources to support corporate sales planning and strategic initiatives. The Senior Sales Analyst will be working with large sets of structured and unstructured data to perform analysis, develop tools, and provide actionable insights to evaluate current results, as well as support strategies for future growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build sophisticated data queries, PowerBI workspaces, reporting, and dashboards to provide visibility and actionable insights on pipeline, backlog, and sales metrics.
  • Conduct sales metric analysis – including defining KPIs, monitoring, and evaluating performance against targets.
  • Maintain a rigid schedule of KPI insights for weekly and fiscal period end to report on business trends and performance.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to support strategic initiatives, including but not limited to product demand, customer behavior, marketing efforts, et.al.
  • Execute and organize commissionable sales reporting that aligns with existing compensation and incentive plans.
  • Monitor sales processes to proactively identify bottlenecks and anomalies, while actively participating in remediation efforts.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to IT regarding master data management activities on all facets of sales data.
  • Serve as corporate advocate regarding PowerBI access and ensure knowledge is available to all data power users within the organization.
  • Reconcile reporting between Accounting/Finance and Operational/Sales data and serve as a Sales subject matter expert.
  • Lead the Analytics team in best practices for reporting, adherence with scheduled activities, and validation of reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain an understanding of internal controls and support the Sales, Estimating, and Construction team during internal/external audit activities.
  • Participate in technology improvement projects that directly impact Revenue Operations.
  • Support the Director of Sales Strategy & Analytics in collaborative projects with various departments within the corporation.

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field - Master's degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in data analytics and reporting required (including design and development of analytical process and models); experience within Sales or Revenue Operations preferred
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel, Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, PowerBI preferred); Ability to query (SQL)
  • Advanced Excel skills required, Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently across all levels of the organization.
