Overview

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians in a manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all machinery and equipment.
  • Request tools, equipment, and supplies as required.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and standards.
  • Train machine operators when needed.
  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work mechanical/electrical problems.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Support Plant Safety Program.
  • Install and repair plumbing throughout the plant & offices.
  • Make minor electrical repairs on machinery, equipment and building electrical supply.
  • Maintain and repair fans throughout the buildings.
  • Installation and removal of machinery and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Five or more years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Must have knowledge of email and preventative maintenance database systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Regularly required to walk, stand, and bend.
