Overview

Provide minor estimating and administrative support to the Estimating Department by coordinating bid documentation, managing incoming bid opportunities, assisting with quantity takeoffs and pricing tasks, and supporting project setup after award.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track all bid opportunities (new and re-bids), maintaining accurate schedules, due dates, and organized bid files.
  • Coordinate bid plans, revisions, addenda, and re-bid documentation with Drafting, providing written summaries of scope or plan changes as needed.
  • Support estimators with bid allocation, bid sheet updates, basic quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, and minor estimating tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate bid proposals and documentation using standard MS Excel templates.
  • Obtain, organize, and track vendor and supplier quotes (including PEMB and decking) to meet bid deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Sales, estimators, and project teams to ensure complete documentation, post-award setup, and successful project execution.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Entry level to two years of experience in construction, estimating support, or administrative roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and specifications preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow in the construction estimating field.
  • Proficient computer skills required: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio.  AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
